I am by nature a dealer in words, and words are the most powerful drug known to humanity
these words can have a monstrous effect, when handed out by someone suffering with insanity
can give hope, motivate, bring together and end hate
can kill, maim, separate and tempt fate
with mine, I try, to spread the word
the words of consciousness through my many verbs
sometimes I trip over them, hypocrisy and contradictions
but I always try to speak on how I feel, based on convictions
cause we need to speak only when we have something fresh to say
delay your vocals if only hate, is what you spray
we need to improve to use our words, with a screening delay
just go on PT for a short trip to experience my dismay
power to the people cause the people want peace
power to the masses who just want a little piece

I love you, sorry, condolences, get well soon
after lunch, before breakfast, let's meet at high noon
goodbye, let's end it, see you at my funeral
I'll name you after my father, mother, or a numeral

Words can make people feel tall or small
make people pumped up before playing ball
the beginning of the end, wanna lift?
the start of a new beginning, can we please end this rift?
with words you can start, or end a marriage
I've seen many in my life end in disparage
can inspire millions, think Nelson Mandela or MLK
can be a declaration of war, millions slayed
dictators have used words to spread propaganda to the masses
eventually it brings upon uprising, and clashes
brings on low self confidence because of a lisp
being bullied as a youngster, I've been on that list
makes kids question themselves, teens the worst
always felt for those abused, like they were cursed
could've used my words to stick up for them, in school sessions
am I any better because of it? that is the question

The power of the spoken word is immeasurable
I've said it before, but it's incredibly diabolical
that we don't use it more as a mass of people
to say that we should all be closer to equal
in writing to be kept for thousands of years
in speech to be disputed by anyone with ears
unless they're recorded, like the words you hear now
if I said it I meant it, to some we bow
to fewer we wow, gasp in awe
seen more than a few needed to quickly withdrawn
words said in the heat of the moment, through temper or vain
can cause an assortment of bullets, a constant chain
words come out easily as we are born
start by saying mama or dadda, speak to our unborn
until we give a eulogy, epitaph prepare
words are all we have, some do it through a prayer

I'm passionate about music and have been making it for a minute. I mainly create conscious hip hop where I can vent by putting my opinions down on 'wax'. Many other songs are tracks about the fairer sex.
